El bautizo de Alessandro y Matias. This day has been in the works for over a year, and although many things were different the meaningfulness of this celebration remained the same. Due to the pandemic, we could only invite a certain amount of people to the church and brunch. We had our immediate family only, and it was such a beautiful day. Now I understand why you baptize your babies when they’re smaller, these two were not behaving. At one point I thought we were not going to make it. I am so happy our priest was so understanding and patient. I grew up in a catholic home, and when I was 16, I taught catechism for 6 years. We are a family of faith and to have our children be presented in the church was surreal. It was a moment that I want to remember forever.
The outfits for the boys are from etsy. They were so cute, since Alessandro is bigger it was a challenge finding one for him. I am linking them here:

My outfit was also not the one I had in mind. I had ordered a dress from ZARA, but I didn’t try it on. I just assumed it would fit perfectly. We had to be at the church at 9:50 am, and I was trying on my dress at 9:35 am. Well, when I put it on, it was SUPER short. I was like, “what the…I cannot wear this to church!” At this point, there was no time to stress, so I grabbed an outfit that I had packed just in case. I am so glad I grabbed it last minute! I ended up wearing pants and a blazer with my new Manolo’s.

The after-party was at my parent’s house, and we had a small brunch with family and a couple friends. We had my friend Genaro Mendez prepare our food, and it was delicious. I totally recommend him to everyone, he’s actually opening up his own restaurant this summer in San Jose!
For the decor we had LP_Party and they were just simply a pleasure to work with. They came to set up early, they were great at communicating, and most importantly understood my vision. I am definitely a control freak, but they gave me that peace of mind I needed. You can follow them on Instagram @LP_Party 408-609-1644 email: lpparty.us@gmail.com I totally recommend them for any occasion! For the flowers, I asked my friend from @BullsEyeBlooms for help and she totally nailed it! I LOOOOOVE flowers and they’re the first thing I book when I am planning any type of event. The chair and farmhouse-style table were rented from a company in San Jose called iCelebrate. They were also great because they delivered the night before, so I was able to set everything up with time.
The cake was made by Natasha, who lives up the street from my mom! She has contactless pick up too, which is convenient. Her specialty is making cakes that are gluten-free and vegan. It’s not very often that you find a baker who specializes in healthy treats that are plant-based, dairy-free and sugar-free! She also makes regular cakes too. Her Instagram name is @Natashas_Healthy_Treats (email: natashashealthytreats@gmial.com)
So beautiful everything looks like it’s from a magazine ???? I actually enjoy smaller parties they are so much fun and you interact with everyone ???
