Thank you Neutrogena for sponsoring this post, all opinions are my own.
Hello! I’m so excited to bring you today’s blog post because it’s an intimate look into our family’s home life. I’ve always built traditions with my family, but now that I have my son it’s so much more meaningful. I try my best to incorporate my culture, and make sure to pass along my family’s traditions. Every year my family makes tamales; it’s a traditional Mexican food. It’s made and served during the holidays. This year I was determined to learn how to make them, and most importantly to have my son see it all! It’s a lot of work making this type of food, but totally worth it. There’s nothing more special than when family gathers around during the holidays, to enjoy food and create memories. Every Christmas Eve morning, all my aunts gather to make tamales for the whole family. My dad, husband and brothers go out to grab coffee and pan dulce for us while we cook. It’s such a fun tradition that I want to pass on to Alessandro.
We usually take about 3 hours to make tamales, and when we’re done its complete exhaustion. To reboot we love to indulge in some self-care with Neutrogena’s Rainbath Fresh Plum Shower & Bath Gel, Body Oil, and the Sheer-Oil Lotion. These products together leave your skin feeling silky soft. They smell wonderful, and definitely give us that much-needed relaxation. The body wash, which is the fresh plum, has scents of floral and ripe plums.
As for the men, they like to relax too. The products they love are Neutrogena’s Invigorating Men’s Face Wash, and the Men’s Triple Protect Face Lotion. My husband and brothers love using those products because they’re specifically designed to improve the skin and protect the face. Especially now that the winter is upon us, we have to make sure to use products that provide extra moisture. I love using Neutrogena’s products and the best part is that there is something for the whole family!
