Happy Friday! I’m so excited about this weekend, and if you haven’t seen my posts, I’ll be at Michael Kors Valley Fair this Saturday 9/29/18 hosting an event. We will be previewing the Fall line, and I must say the shoes, clothes and handbags are adorable! There’s going to be champagne, raffles, and SO much more. Hopefully I’ll see you there!
And speaking of the weekend, I also wanted to share some date ideas that you can go on with your toddler(s). My husband and I were together 10 years before having our son. We were accustomed to weekly date nights, but of course all that changes when you have a baby. Now our date nights are much more different because we try and be home by 9pm for Alessandro’s bedtime. We love spending time with Alessandro, and although alone time is very much needed, most of our dates consist of bringing our little guy along for the ride.
We live in San Jose, which is a city about 40 minutes away from San Francisco. We’re in the midsts of the Silicon Valley, and there are many things you can do as a family.
Children’s Discovery Museum + Dinner at San Pedro Square
My husband and I love bringing my son to this museum. It’s a place where he can run around, and get all his energy out. He is able to explore and interact with other kids. It’s also super fun seeing these moments as parents. Once we’re done with the museum, we’ll head to San Pedro Square for dinner and dessert. They have a variety of foods, which is very convenient. I all the food here, and the horchata ice cream!
Santana Row for Lunch + Walk
We love going to Santana Row! My husband and I actually lived there as newlyweds. Now, we love taking Alessandro for lunch. Our favorites spots include:The Counter, Mendocino Farms, and Pizza Antica. Then we’ll grab a cup of coffee at Peet’s and walk around a little bit. We’ll stop around, and take Alessandro to go run around in the little kids area they have in front of Maggianos. It’s so much fun!
Sunday Brunch/ Coffee + Farmers Market (Evergreen Village Square)
You’ll catch us at this Farmers Market almost every Sunday! I absolutely love it. I’ll head to Soul Cycle at 8:30 then come back home to pick up my husband and Alessandro. We’ll head to the market for coffee then go to my mom’s house to make breakfast. It’s a routine we started ever since Alessandro was born. My husband and I used to go every week, but now with our son it’s just so much more fun.
Emma Prusch Farm Park + Fruta at (United Paleteria y Neveria)
This is also one of the things we love to do. We’ll buy fruit at United then head to Emma Prusch to see the animals. Alessandro LOVES this place so much that he cries when we’re walking back to the car. He loves seeing all the animals, and walking around. This is definitely an East Side staple.
Hike at Montgomery Hill
My mother in law gifted us this really cool hiking back (I’ll link it below) and we use it all the time to go on hikes and walks. We really enjoy taking Alessandro to Montgomery Hill. I used to be a runner (I miss it and will probably start again) and I used to run this hill everyday. It’s nice to bring Alessandro and show him how beautiful the outdoors can be.
Lunch + Sporting Event (Baseball Game, Football, Soccer)
We love sports, and we are very involved with my little brothers soccer team. We have games every weekend and of course we take Alessandro. We’ll enjoy breakfast or lunch after the games. Another awesome thing we love doing is attending sporting events. We’ve taken Alessandro to soccer games, football games, and he actually sits and watches! He’ll even clap his hands and throw them in the air when they score, it’s the cutest thing! Next up is a baseball game, hopefully he’ll become a Giants fan like his momma!
Also, wanted to share pictures of our first family session, taken by Matt from Golden Film Photography.
