Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to put together a quick lookbook, just in case any of you don’t know what to wear tonight or this weekend if you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day. Today we’re heading off to San Francisco to run some errands. My husband and I did a mini V-Day celebration this past weekend. We don’t really go out on Valentine’s Day. It’s been about 7 years since the last time we went out to dinner on this day. We actually have a funny story as to why we don’t go out. So we were engaged at the age of 23, fairly young and barely starting our careers. That year we decided to go to a fancy restaurant for dinner. We headed out, and like always my husband gave me some flowers and was super romantic. The usual stuff right? Well, we sit down and when we were handed the menus we look at the very bottom and see a “fixed” dinner price. Since it’s Valentine’s Day restaurants tend to hike up their dinner prices. We read $200 per person for dinner that night. We looked at it, and it then stared back at each other and said, “oh sh*t we’re too late to get out of here.” We decided to just go with it since it was too late to go back. Our check ended up being over $400, and we left the restuarant broke, but well-eaten. After that we were a little traumatized and decided to not do Valentine’s Day anymore. To be honest I feel so special every day with my husband. He treats me like a queen, and I’m blessed to have him and my son as my Valentines every day. Just remember, everything is materialistic the true meaning of this day is to express to that special someone how much you love them. Don’t stress about the flowers, dinner, chocolates or gifts. It’s all about making memories, and my husband and I laugh so much every time we tell this story. Happy Valentine’s Day, and don’t forget to ask for the menu prices.

Look #2: Pop of Pink
I put this outfit together quickly by just mixing and matching pieces I already owned. These are palazzo style pants styled with a velvet bodysuit. I paired it with some hot pink shoes and a hot pink bag to match.
