Birthday Celebration!

Hello Lovelies!! I am back on my blog after taking a couple weeks off. During the holiday break there are always a million things to get done. Finishing up with the Christmas shopping, helping with the tamale making and then my birthday is 5 days after Christmas! Because my birthday is right before New Years and right after Christmas I never really do much, but this year my husband decided to throw me a little birthday dinner with my family and closest friends. I had one of the best birthdays! I wanted to share with you all some personal pictures of my celebration and of my family. I gave my little brother my camera to snap photos but towards the end of it he started to get tired lol thanks Danny for the pictures 🙂

Before heading over to Marlyn’s I got pampered at the Dry Bar in Santana Row ( San Jose, Ca). My hair always takes at least an hour to do so I decided not to deal with it and just get it done on my birthday 🙂

And of course Marlyn did an exceptional job on my makeup like always! Glitter glam is what we went for and green glitter is my favorite!

Now for my outfit! Tell me why this day in particular was BEYOND windy! I seriously thought my eyelashes were going to fly off just walking to the car. It was not a good weather day but we all managed! I decided to wear black on black; my favorite and go-to color palette. This dress is from H&M and I have the same one in red (CURRENTLY ON SALE). Its comfortable, cute, flirty and best of all I love that it has long sleeves. The boots are from Lola’s Shoetique.

Now for the cake! 🙂 My husband designed it all by himself and I completely loved it. He told me that he wanted a little piece of me all over the cake that’s way he included:
The Eiffel tower and Macaroons: Paris is my favorite place and I was lucky enough to be living there this summer
A camera because of my blog and I always have a camera with me.
Music notes, and I quote my husband “because I know how much you love your corridos.”
The lipstick, it’s my number one makeup must when I leave the house.
The heel what girl isn’t obsessed with shoes right?
