Barcelona {Part One}

Barcelona is my all time favorite city! I visited Barcelona a few years ago and it was everything I imagined and more, so being able to come back made me so happy! We have a friend who is a frequent Barcelona visitor and he was there when I arrived. We call him, “Panda/Pandita.” It was fun being able to do some sightseeing, eat tapas, drink some yummy sangria, and just soak in the beauty of Barcelona.

The first day we arrived, we settled into our apartment. (FriendlyApartments) Tip: If you are traveling in a group of 3 or more I suggest either renting an apartment or an AirBnB. It’s super cheap and you have the comfort of having your own place with a washer/dryer, kitchen, living room, etc. So far our experience has been great.

Of course since we were in Barcelona, we went out for tapas the first night. We found the most amazing place by the Cathedral in the Gothic District.

 Best Tapas!
We also took pictures by the Cathedral.

After dinner and our photo session we headed out to explore the Gothic District and ran into a cute bar.

 We started off with a pitcher of sangria and this one was delicious! I love when sangria has fruit and its nice and cold !
 Pitcher of berry mojitos 🙂

The beautiful streets of Barcelona.
Afterwards we headed over to Port Olympic for a few more drinks and to do some dancing. We ended up having some caipirinhas (Brazilian cocktail which has so much alcohol)  at a lounge near the W hotel.
You know those bicycle rides that you get offered in a touristy city and you always say, “no thank you”…well we accepted a bike ride to our next stop. It cost us about 20 euros lol but it was well worth it. We headed to Port Olympic and had a blast! The nightlife in Europe is very different than in the states. The parties don’t get started until 2am and go well into the next morning. We of course called it a night early since we had tourist activities planned for the next day.
 Started off our day at Guell Park. We purchased tickets ahead of time so we did have to wait in line. This park’s architecture was absolutely gorgeous!
