Hi Everyone!
MACLA Arte, is a participant of San Jose’s South First Fridays, which is an event filled with music, art and great food. Of course, it’s hosted every first Friday of the month in the SoFa district. My husband was performing at MACLA Art, and they were hosting an amazing exhibit called “De Esperanza y De Locura” (Of Hope and Madness). It will be on display until October 26th. This exhibition showcased art projects that deal with migration and immigration issues understood as flights of both hope and insanity.
Work by Latino artists: Erika Harrsch, Miguel Luciano, Esperanza Mayobre, Favianna Rodriguez, and Judi Werthein
Butterflies were representative of all the Dream Act activists who fought for the bill to pass and give benefits to immigrant students. My favorite piece of art in the exhibit.
HAVE NO FEAR 🙂
I tried to get a shot of my outfit, but I was working and running around so my pictures are not the best, apologies in advanced!
